  • Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing that allows you to move freely, and keeping in mind you will be around animals. Closed-toe shoes or boots suitable for a farm environment are required.

  • Bring water, weather-appropriate layers, a bottle of water, a journal and pen if you desire. Bringing a snack may be helpful to ground and integrate after a session.

  • Yes there is a staff washroom available. Washrooms are also available for customers at nearby cafe, The Tin Roof Cafe.

  • No experience is necessary. The program is designed for complete beginners as well as experienced horse people.

  • No. All Equine Experiential Connection work is done safely on the ground.

  • Only if you feel comfortable. Physical contact is never required to benefit from the program.

  • No. The EEC Program is an experiential learning and coaching program, not psychotherapy or clinical treatment.

  • Yes. Sessions are facilitated by trained Advanced FEEL® Facilitators with specially trained horses. Horse welfare and participant safety are always the top priority.

  • No. Activities are gentle and adaptable to individual comfort and mobility levels. Please let us know in advance if you have any mobility or accessibility needs.

  • We work with individuals 5 and up. We require an adult (18+) guardian to be present during the session with individuals 12 and under unless there are specific requests which Practitioners are able to accommodate.

  • Sessions run rain or shine, with adjustments made for safety and comfort. Indoor spaces are available and most work does occur indoors in our barn and arena regardless of weather.

  • Some participants attend a single session, while others continue for multiple sessions over weeks or months. This is entirely individualized. Working with horses does tend to be rather compelling - once people get into it, they feel the magic and seek it out!

  • Yes. Free on-site parking is available. All sessions and workshops take place at LongRun Farm in Hillsburgh, Ontario.

  • Yes, sessions are entirely confidential.
